Preschoolers

Our 4 year old preschool classroom participates in the Iowa Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program.  This program utilizes Creative Curriculum as its tool for Kindergarten readiness in this case.  To provide as much cohesiveness as possible, we are working to incorporate Creative Curriculum throughout the Center, adjusting to assure age-appropriateness in each classroom.

Additionally, Sunflower is working to implement Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) in all classrooms as a positive approach to behavior challenges that are inevitable to all growth!  We support the children in their quest to be the best version of themselves, whatever that might be!  We consider the outdoors to be a classroom, also, and spend a generous portion of the day outside where so much learning occurs.
